Did Jeep ever even make a hard top for the 5? I thought they were all aftermarket tops, maybe that is why they are so scarce.
I believe the metal ones that were made were designed to be welded to the windshield frame and many were modified to be bolt on.
Acme made a fiberglass top for the 5.

When I had my 5, I searched fleebay for months. Only saw a few on there, and most were in bad condition and 1000+ miles away. Good luck. Confusious says,"Pesrsistence is key Grasshopper", and "man who stands on toilet, is high on pot!" I think one of those applies.

I have a fiberglass top and full fiberglass doors, no latching hardware.
But everyone who sees it tries to buy it. I'm like WTF?!?!
Might sell it to finance other repairs/upgrades to the jeep just wondering what the price should be these days. But then again hardtops are nice for security reasons.

They are also quieter and warmer. Not that warmer is an issue if you live in new mexico.

I sure wish I had a hard top! I dont even have heat!!! I did by one of those mojave heaters though but havent taken the time to put it in yet. I have a feeling I am going to be disappointed in the output.
