Youve already identified it! It is an acme brand hardtop. The doors too!

Yeap, that's an ACME top and doors, aftermarket straight out of the 1970's. My CJ had one on it when I bought it. Parts aren't really easy to find for them. They're heavy as all get out too, but they are durable.

Maybe we should archive his photos on the site somewhere as thats the first time I have seen that top :chug:

Thanks guys! Its in good shape for an aftermarket top out of the 70s. Glass windows etc. Eventually I will paint the jeep and the top the same color. Thinking gray...

Id really like to have that style hard door on my jeep. I have never seen them with the 82+ style dor striker though.

They don't work with any style factory door striker. They have there own specific door striker, I think I still have pics of mine from when I sold it, I'll see if I can find any of them. I didn't like them because of the drive through lane windows, they only open like 6 - 8". I did really like the bottom windows on the doors though.

I can say that they will line up and seal to a factory hardtop, not sure about a softop.

This one has a bolt with a jam nut setup so the door handle latch will catch it... Yes the windows only open a little... No large drive thru orders allowed!

I actually just bought one of these from a local 4x4 shop. I still have to pick it up.

These are thicker than the factory ones. They have a reinforced rear passenger roof area that is strong enough for drilling a roof rack.

I read somewhere that they only work with the Acme doors. Is that true? I have the pre '81 rotary style doors. If this is the case, I've got a problem.
