I have a 74 CJ5 that has been heavily modified... I am semi-restoring this vehicle... During my restoration process, I am finding things that are very odd to me... Now, on to this issue...

I bought a Flaming River steering column and steering shaft for my Jeep... The old steering column had one of those universal strap on turn signal/hazard light setups attached to it...

Well, the new column has built in turn signal and built in hazard light switch... However, I am not finding the hazard relay or the turn signal relay... I have the dash completely out of the Jeep as I am replacing all of the gauges, the headlight switch, the wiper switch, rewiring mostly everything behind the dash, etc... I would have thought that the relays were behind the dash... But, they are not nor are they anywhere else on the vehicle (I traced all of the wiring out to each light to make sure the relays were not relocated somewhere else)...

What are some good relays to use for turn signals and hazard lights?

Turn signal and hazard flashers are auto parts store items. You should also be able to get the plugs from them also. Is that what you are asking?

Torxhead, that is what I am asking...

On my new steering column, I have power input to the turn signal, then four individual outputs (left front, left rear, right front, and right rear)... Do I get a turn signal relay that has four connections, three connections, etc...?

The hazard has a single output from the column... I am assuming that I can get a three connection hazard relay (single input, dual output)...

turn signals I would think would just use a 3 post flasher..If your column did not come with a wiring diagram then contact the company

I like to look at the way the factory did things as a pattern, if memory serves me correctly ididit uses a GM turn signal same as the later factory jeeps, so you could hit the parts store and grab a replacement pigtail and stock flasher with pigtail and wire your jeep to match the later jeeps…. this being an example List: Flasher-Hazard Warning/Turn Signal - 1983 Jeep CJ7 | O'Reilly Auto Parts

Jimbo... Thank you for the wiring diagram. This matches up perfectly with the Flaming River steering column... Now I see how to add in the turn signal and hazard flashers, as well as how to connect in my brake switch...
