Are the head bolts on an 85 AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l torque to yield? I am wondering if I can reuse the bolts I have or should I get new ones... also where would I get new ones if I need to?

Thanks for the advice!

Yes, you do want to replace them. They have gone through a lot of heat and stress over the years. A re-check with a warm engine is a good idea also.

I used ARP bolts. They looked slightly different but I known the reputation of ARP.

Yup...

I don't know if they're torque-to-yield, but don't re-use your head bolts. If it were me, I'd spring for a new set of ARP bolts.
