Head change?

Head change?
:agree:^^

finding a decent AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l on the other hand could be a bit difficult.

did the price on the Clearwater head include shipping??

"Everyone says stick to 91-95 heads because they flow better or something"

For me, the 7120 (91-95) is a must as I already have MPI and need the sensor port on the back of head for the "brain". Not all the other heads have this port is what I was told. Clearwater said they could drill and tap any of the other heads, but I preferred the one that came with it.

Yes

Yes

Sensor port for the brain? I am not sure what you mean by this? MPI uses a handful of sensors, what sensor are you referring to? The only thing I would thing that a 95+ head might be missing is the temp probe for the Temperature guage. When I did my JY 4.0 Injection in my first CJ I don't think there was any sensor that attached directly to the head.

I suppose its possible I mis-understood the guys at Hesco about the reasons for wanting a 7120 head with the rear port. I was sure it had something to do with a sensor for the brain, but now that you bring it up, I do remember others saying that port was just for the gauge. Sorry for the confusion :o

Just a fyi on clearwater, they advertised my head as having all new valves etc.etc. when recieved everything looked good except I noticed a couple valves were not new so I called them and they sent a new set n.c.
I now have maybe a thousand miles on it with no problems and don't expect any.
another note is I do have to run at least 50/50 reg/premium gas or it pings slightly, but what's another 10 cents a gallon.;)

That makes sense. So I recant my previous statement. Do a 91-95 head. The OBD2 heads dont have the temp sensor in them.
