Tried to turn my headlights on and they weren't working.
Hit the bright button and they turned on. Unfortunately this jeep is new to me so I don't know if I turned the brights on or turned them off to get the regular beam.

Could someone school me on what my next step should be? TIA.

Try wiggling / cleaning the plug connector to the foot switch. They get crud in them and cause issues. Then I'd try a new foot switch.

I'll try that but I'm thinking that it's something else. They switch on and off with the foot switch. I would think if it were the foot switch it wouldn't be consistent.

Push and pull the dash switch a bunch of times.
Contacts may need to get scrap'd clean for contact.
Ck all of your ground connections too.

Wow! Never before did I know that much crud could live under that little foot switch. Disconnected it and wired brush all the connectors and added some dieletric grease for good measure. Bingo! Both low and high beams!!!:chug:

Thanks for replying to my thread Woolyworm!
