Hooking up everything in my CJ5 , and find that only one side of the lights work. Neither right (from the drivers side) light works, marker or headlight. I have pulled everything and checked connections and ground (ground off the paint just to be sure). I also ran the ground to the frame just to isolate if it was the grill that had a bad light or not, nothing.

What gives?

EDIT: I hooked up a separate bulb and it worked, however I hooked up a second marker light/turn signal harness and bulb to my harness and it would not work. This was with the ground on and off.

If one side works and not the other and your sure your grounded every thing well then it sounds like a bad wire either in the plug or where it splices together. When the put that harness together they splice the two sides together with a horrible solder joint and usually some duct tape. You can easily separate the lighting harness from the engine harness at the fuse block. I would pull the harness out, lay it on the ground or a sheet of ply wood and open it up to look for bad connections. I also ran a 12ga wire from my negative terminal to a ss stud the runs through both sides of the grill. My headlights are hooked right to that, but it also grounds the rest of my lights up there a whole lot better. If neither of the sides worked I'd say check the switch.
