Ive been toying with making some heated mirrors for my CJ. Is there any place that makes them? or heard of anyone making them?

They do have some heated mirrors not a bad rice ether. Think im still going to build some though.:biggun:

I hate when my heated mirrors have bad rice

LOL thanks Baja I was posting that off my phone. Stupid smart phones LOL

I ment not a bad price.

How would you make heated mirrors?
That sounds interesting.

Heated mirrors would be nice. I could see getting a set for the jeep

I ran across a few "Heater" for a kawasaki four wheeler carb. I would get some thermally conductive RTV silicone put some inside the mirror then I would make it so i can screw these into the back of the mirror.

This is what the heaters look like.

It is insulated on the top so it wont short there is a heating element inside.

When you do this can you post details I would like to do this to my mirrors.

Yep not prob Im just waiting on the RVT

I know this has been a long time sense Ive done anything on this thread. The place i ordered the RTV from never sent it. so ill be looking for another place i can get it.

RTV sealer is usually used as another name for silicone, you can get it at any auto parts store, discount store, home improvement store or just about anywhere. There are thousands of different ones out there.

Here is a brief list of many different types. -->> https://www.google.com/search?q=rtv...nJYaRsALIzJmkDA&ved=0CHoQrQQ&biw=1605&bih=900
Thanks Cj but thats not the kind im looking. Im after thermally conductive RTV like what they use on heat sinks in electronics.
