Hi All

I have owned several CJ5 's over the years and have really been looking for a scrambler.

The other day I came acrossed a CJ7 with QuadraTrac , it is a 1976 even though it shows it is a 1975 on the dash tag.

It is a nice rig with older winch and a rust free body all and all in pretty darn nice shape, 118,000 miles, Renegade , AMC 304 , auto. does have hubs up front, hardtop, aluminum manifold with a 4 BBL other than that pretty much stock.

I would have bought it on the spot but do not know ANYTHING about QT.

Anyone want to give me the goods and the bads about the QT?

Most of my wheelin is pretty low key a little sand and a little snow but most of all I am looking for something to keep me busy with little projects here and there.

Also how much is this thing worth?

I found it sitting along a road with a sign in it turns out to be an estate deal the guy that owned it died and they are trying to sell it.

Rig is original paint and interior (Blue/white)

Any input? going to make him an offer but unsure on the QuadraTrac thing.

The QT is a good case for the road and light wheeling, sounds like it would work for the type of jeep your looking for.

Sounds like a nice Jeep. Hard to tell without any pics. I always get excited over a Cj that isnt rusted out being on the East coast. I had 1 QuadraTrac Cj. The 2 things that stood out to me were

#1 Full time 4wd will kill you fuel economy wise. You said this one has hubs in the front? Could have a part time 4wd kit in it. Test it out.

#2 My Cj didnt have 4wd low. I didnt know at the time that I could add one on from a J-truck. Yours may have one. If there is a small stick on the side the Transmission tunnel thats it.

You may not "need" 4wd low for your type of wheeling but its always nice to have. ;)

I cant really say what its worth without seeing atleast some pics.
