HID bulbs

I have a couple sets of HIDs complete with ballast and direct battery power harness'. Im thinking about cutting and gutting the back of a stock headlight so I can fit a 9007 or 9006 style bulb in the back. Ive done this before for other applications when the car didnt have a simple bulb replacement and it turned out fine. Just wondering if anyone has done this with CJ headlights before. Im using a kit with 5k bulbs so it will be bright but look somewhat OEM. Didnt find anything on the search feature.

I don't know how easy it is to cut the bulb but the jugs, for lack of a better word, are available from Hella , I believe. It seems this has been done and a search should find something.

way to fancy for this junk. I have back up dead bulbs to play with so it im going to try it. The HID kits i have sitting around are 9007, 9006 and H11s. The one listed fits 9003. Just wondering if any has tried what Im attemping to do. The price for both those links isnt that bad if I dont like the results. thanks

very carefully, if i can find a pic of the other set we did ill post it. Its a trial and error thing. i have some dead 9007 bulbs to practice fitting them.

there is a pretty strong vacuum in there, not like a CRT but enough to cause a pretty impressive implosion.

I wasn't able to find that seller on ebay but I found these

and wondered if they would work there isnt a whole lot of information about the product such as color code or manufacturer at that I like the idea of the street lights its not typical for a jeep but I think its cool hah anyways if someone who knows of these matters could give me a thumbs up or down it'd be much appreciated I cant really find a better price for a pair
