High Jeep / low Jeep

I recently noticed the Jeep logo on the cowl of my 73 cj5 is quite a bit higher than the logo on my 74 or 1980 cj5’s. So I started looking at lots of photos and it appears that for 1974 Jeep relocated the cowl logo down a few inches .
The lowered logo has remained pretty much the same place through the YJ and TJ.
The photos are not my jeeps but are good examples of the logo locations.

When AMC bought Jeep they extended the hood 3 inches to allow for the AMC engines. At the time the body was changed the Jeep logo was moved. I never noticed that they moved the logo until your post. But you can see it in your pictures, whenever the hood is longer the logo is lower.

As best I can tell, AMC kept the same location through 73.
Can anyone with a 73 cj verify this?
