what brands do yal advise. its pushing lots of lights and a 9.5 winch ect. what amp would be a good one to get. maby like a 200? what amp is the stock one? thanks

I run a 100 amp. I got from sumit or jegs I don't remember which one.
I don't run any off road lights though. I do have a warn 9.5 winch and
it keeps up with it pretty good. Make sure you up grade the wiring to a 10 gauge so you don't melt the punny wire thats on there now.

I had my local starter/alternator rebuild shop rewind/rebuild an alternator to 170 amps/14.7 volts. IIRC cost me about 60-70 bucks.

Alter Start (think that is the name) on eBay has a good reputation also.

No alternator can keep up with a winch. An 8000 lb winch draws over 400 amps and could drain your battery if do don't give it a rest to cool and let your batter charge. On the other hand the lights may run constantly.
I would say 140 amp or so should work.

I would recommend a 140 and would not suggest a one wire. If you can get one from a local shop I would do that.
