Hey Guys,
So I just replaced the alternator, and power steering belts. Immediately afterwards, it started idling higher then normal. Not so high that you can't drive it, but noticeably higher. The idle speed will remain high even after driving it for a while. Sometimes if I restart the engine, the idle speed works it's way down to normal.
I've got a Throttle Body injection system on my AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l , so I don't think i can adjust the idle speed manually.
My tachometer has also crapped out, so I don't know what the RPM is at idle.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
