Popped open my hood after having been gone a couple days and noticed that there was a lump of snow/ice that had formed on the valve cover from the drain coming off the hood vent. There is a plastic fitting in the firewall but should there be a hose too? Would it just run down the side of the motor?

The cowl vent? I was thinking the outlet is below the valve cover but yes it should have a rubber elbow that turns down and about 10 inches long from memory.

Thanks. There is a small plastic turnout that pours water right on to the valve cover. I'll hook up a hose and go from there.
