From this weekend, reminds me of a scene from the FX show Archer:

"As dirty as if it was made of dirt and then got dropped in some different dirt and then Pigpen came along and kicked it around with his dirty shoes."

I keep mine clean about all the time. It's just a lot easier to put in the garage or work on if it's kept clean.

I painted mine desert camo so the dirt doesn't show up.
I haven't washed it in years :D

I power wash each time I come home from wheeling.
Blast the undercarriage while it still on the trailer
From the last wheeling trip, I now have a 10 pound bag of NH mud for sale if anyone is interested. :D
I try to avoid mud whenever possible.

^^^^^^^^ What he said. :D Mine gets alot dirtier in warm weather. Just too dang cold to wash it....and thaw out the water hose.......:chug:

I have a special system that trickles oil down my drive shafts and then applies an oil coating to the undercarriage of my CJ every time I drive it. Without getting into all of the technical mumbo-jumbo, it's like a teflon coating that prevents rust and keeps dirt from clinging to it.

From your photos, it looks like you could benefit from such a system. I don't want to hijack this thread so if you are interested, PM me and I can send you information about it.

A couple days ago while testing, truly I was testing. It had rained here about a week before. My testing route is highway, normal roads, two-tracks around some farm fields. Well this day I couldn't drive the usual roads without some mud being involved.

Some adjustment was necessary so on Friday night I fired up the pressure washer and sprayed down the CJ. Unfortunately it was in the drive way. Naturally all that mud dropped right there. On Saturday I started on some of the adjustments that needed to be done. Naturally the mud was still there, still very much mud. Errrrr so all day I toiled in the mud. The worst was laying on my side, covered in mud and a mud blob dropped down deep in my ear ....EEERRRRRRRR. The projects went well, cold wet mud from one end of me to the other, even in my ear ......... I hate a dirty jeep and I hate mud.

Agreed. I think of it like a football uniform. Get dirty as necessary while playing. Then shower and launder it for the next game.

I guess you would file this under the heading of "Its not a bug, it's a feature!" :poke:

As it turns out, despite being recently rebuilt my jeep is well equipped with the anticorrosion agent dispensing devices to which you refer.:D

I thought that was a system that Jeep installed in the factory on all Jeeps :D

Lol...this makes me feel bad for my jeep. I wash mine twice a year: once before I take the top off for summer, and once after I put the top back on for winter. Currently it's still sitting with a bunch of sandy mud all over it because I decided to dump it in into some wash out on the side of the road...just for fun of course. Forget to pay attention to my wind wing being open and so now it has dried mud coming in the drivers side window haha. It'll get washed come April ;)...when I take before I take the top off.
