I started thinking about what was left of the original 73 Jeep after all these years.

Here's what I came up with:

Radiator shell
Heater box shell
Rear axle housing minus the spring perches
T-14 minus the bearings
Dana 20 Transfer Case minus the bearings
Bell housing

So now what do I really have? I'm feeling guilty calling her a 73.

How about your Jeep?

The frame and the grill :D
There's a few other original parts, but they've been modified to death.

Mine has:

The modified frame (replaced rusted out rear x-member and added some bits)
The parts of the body that haven't rusted away.
The original roll bar.
The original hacked up dash and gauges.

That's about it. The entire drivetrain is not original. The entire suspension is not original. All the rest of the bits are either swapped out or are gone and haven't been replaced yet.

Wiring
front axle housing
Seat belts
Seat brackets
Dash metal only
Roll bar
Battery tray
headlight bezels.

I think that is about it. I own it for 21 years now and even the frame was replaced. Pretty sad to even call it an 80 CJ5 anymore. The body is glass from 1992, the frame is a 79, the tranny and Transfer Case is a 79, the motor is a 78 350, ther rear axle came out of who knows what year.

Windshield frame
Dash metal
Heater box
Wiring harness.

But after 173,600 miles some things are bound to wear out. The tub has been replaced with fiberglass, the frame has been replaced with a rust free one from an 85. The axles I've changed more times than my socks, 4th engine (2 AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l 's, 1 305, 1 350), 5th Transmission (2 T-4 's, 1 T-150 , 1 T-18 , and 1 SM465), 4th Transfer Case (1 Dana 300 [original], 1 Dana 20 , and 2 more Dana 300 's), 3rd supertop, 3rd set of seats, 2nd rollbar. The fenders and lights have been mauled by trees and rocks, the original hood had an unexpected meeting with the windshield frame after I forgot to latch the hood when I checked my oil:(.

wire harness, at least part of it
Dash, again at least some of it
frame, although it has new sections welded in in the rear
Transfer Case , it has a twin stick now though
both axle housings are stock, axles and diffs have been changed
there's still quite a bit of the 83 left, I'll have to do something about that.:D

Right now everything except the radiator, waterpump, oil and fuel guages. And when I'm done I think about 75% will still be original. And I like that.

mine:

the good old AMC 304 (exception of the 4 barrel carb)
the auto Transmission
QuadraTrac
axels
wheels

i wanted to find an all original 77 tub but i think finding Al Capone's body would have been easier:D

Most of the tub
Frame with welded sections
Transfer Case housing
Axle housings
Most of the wire harness

I was thinking someone would have said "only the VIN plate". :D

Give me a couple more years for the frame to rust away.
