Howell fuel supply/return backwards?

*Update below * Most every schematic Ive now seen including the one Gert posted today from Jeep forum, shows the fuel feed on the inside fitting and the return on the outside. Mine was set up the opposite and has been this was for 10 years and thousands of miles.
Update. According to Howells website PDF instructions the pumps feed line goes to the "drivers side" (outside)fitting, and the return to the right side (inside). The diagram on Jeep forum is incorrect as well as the other that I looked at. Unfortunately I do not recall where that was but I believe it was also on J/F.
