OK Im at the stage of choosing between them. I know theres a huge price difference, the mopar comes with dist, intake etc,. But is there a difference in MPG? Do I have to use plus or premium fuel with one and not the other? This is going to a 4.0 head by the way. Thanks!

I can not coment on the Howell but have put some miles on my Mopar and it is worth every penny IMO. The CJ runs flawless in all conditions, starts just by turning the key every time and makes you forget you are driving a 34 year old CJ. As far as milage goes I had never checked it prior to or since for that matter but I'm pretty comfortable saying it is close to double of the Ca. smogged Carter YF set up that it came with.
Would I do again? Yes :D

I have been running the Howell TBI kit for AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l for 6 years and am quite satisfied with it. A big advantage is its simplicity and can use regular gas, there is good customer support too. I'm sure it will not perform as well as a multi port, computer controlled ignition set up does, so I would say in both cases you get what you pay for and both are quite an improvement. Adding the Team Rush upgrade to the ignition helps on my rig along with the TBI setup.
