Huge coil

Im new to these guys, but this coil doesnt look like anything Ive seen before.
I was looking into the Nutter bypass to remove the ecm but the coils pictured look normal - not like this one.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me

it's an Accel super coil. Not sure if they still make them or not.

Any coil will work with the Bypass there are still only two wires +/- plus the center coil wire. That is just a high energy coil that may be oil filled it doesn't matter.

I have seen those coils in Pep Boys but don't think much of anything that Accel puts out. I would suggest you look up the "Team Rush Upgrade" in this forum or online and go with that. It seems to make for a better running AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l as it helps ease up on the spark arcing in that tiny stock distributor cap. Going to the Nutter Bypass removes the computer from controlling the distributor advance and fuel mixture operation, so if the computer and its systems still work I would not recommend removing it, unless switching carbs and advancing the distributor a bit. That coil will work just fine anyway.
