Well, we haven't had a hit in a long time - I guess we were due. It's just a baby storm so this should be easy. I'll probably loose some dead limbs in my pines but that will most likely be it. I had all the pita live oaks removed a few years back.
I'm sure I'll loose power so I just did a manual backup gen. test.
I am way above the flood zone so I'm not worried about rain. Heck, back in the early 2000's we had a tropical storm that dropped 27' of rain in 24 hrs. and it was no problem...

If anyone else is in the path, stay safe.

It really gives me the shivers to watch the news and see the horrendous weather going on in the east. While here in the southwest all we do is bake and sweat, and we have to use as little water as possible since we don't have that much. With my current usage reduction of around 35% taking as few showers as possible and letting my lawns dry out, I got my bill down to $75.00 mo.

Thanks, it's just a baby cane though The thing that sucks are the darn tornadoes... The wind and rain don't bother me at all.

My wife is from Missouri. She doesn't ever want to see a tornado again.
Can't say I blame her.
Other than career politicians, we only fear earthquakes and fires here.

Well, no flooding or tornadoes but power was out for about 6 hrs but the generator kicked in so no big deal.
I had a huge limb come off a pine tree and damage my roof but it is OK for now.
Also the cable / internet is out so I'm tethering the laptop off of my phone and watching a movie...
