Anyone happen to know the size hole I need to cut? I have a master cylinder on the way and I want to make sure I have the correct size hole saw.

Thanks.

I wasn't able to get my caliper into cramped interior side, but the outside diameter of the master clutch cyl. is 1 1/4". I would imagine a 1" hole saw would do the job.

Did you get that backwards? Can't imagine a 1 1/4" diameter fitting inside a 1" diameter hole...unless my coffee is failing me and I can't comprehend!

That measurement was the outside diamter of the M/C. The internal bore size is 7/8" I believe, so the outer diameter of the of part that goes through the firewall is usually machined down somewhat from the total outside diameter. Or you just wait until you get the part and measure it.

Ok. Gotcha.

I was under the impression that there was a bit of a stick-out that needed to fit inside the hole. This is the one I have coming...

Looking for the OD of the black part to make sure it fits through the hole.

From your description, sounds like not all MCs are created equally. ffe3963f22fc15929e371a81374bb75b.webp

Ok so looking at some on line pics of the M/C it maybe closer to the outside diameter that I originally thought. You could be right about 1" being too small. Hopefully someone will chime in with corect sze.

I can always wait until it comes in...just trying to save me a trip of me or the neighbor has what I need.

Ok well, I managed to get my mini caliper onto the inside of the M/C. The dust boot is shot so the measurement is directly on the cyl. To my surprise its bigger than I would have imagined at 1 3/8 in. Now this could be off a bit as it's tight in there.

Thank you sir!
