Thanks. I don't even know where to begin which is why I just said "ask away." I learned a lot.

Except for their long shipping times, the OME spring conversion was a ride quality game changer for me. Why was it the biggest mistake?

You got your kit 10+ years ago. Maybe it's changed. What you pay for what you get now is not a good value. Add in the ridiculous ship times on the springs and I just wouldn't recommend them. Shall I make a whole separate post on my Rocky Road experience?

I can't imagine there are tons of people doing cj to yj spring conversions anymore. CJs don't even exist on the road up here in the midwest.

Mine is a daily driver here in Houston. I also do see a few others, but less and less. I never bothered with a spring conversion, even though I hear people say the ride is smoother for road use. To me it's like riding a horse. Just get into the rhythm of the bumps and bounces and it's all good. Kinda like that closing scene in Waterworld (terrible movie) when Costner finds dry land and is asked to stay with the rest of the group. He responds that the ground doesn't move under his feet like he's used to and heads back out to sea on another boat. The old Jeep just wouldn't feel right driving if it was too smooth.

Nice CJ7 there.

There are other options to the OME front YJ springs.
Mine were Rubicon Express YJ springs at first. But, they are now BDS front YJ springs.
Biggest task was the new front Shackle Hangers. Got mine from Fishbone and they took some massaging to fit right.
For the minimal effort involved, I think it's a worthwhile modification for the slightly wider & slightly longer front springs.

@TSB8C That's hilarious. Unfortunately, rust killed almost all jeeps from the 70's through th 00's up here. Mine can do 60 to 65 at a little over 2k rpm pretty comfortably with 32 inch tires. I also did the drag link flip and I think that helped the stability.

@KRUPP I like the OME springs. Just not happy with what was in the "kit".
