Ok jeep was running good. But using a lot of gas kinda and hard to fill tank. In my other post I had asked about these things. Was told to check the filler tube vent line and make sure it wasn't kinked... It was good.
I also read that the fuel/air mixture screws should be 2-1/2 turns out.
My problem:
I checke the air fuel screws and one was 7 and the other was 9 turns out. I adjusted them and jeep wouldnt start, I moved the out to 6 turns and advanced the timming and got it to start... Adjust the timming back down and screw air fuel in to five turns... Drive about forty miles no problem, on the way home add a hard time idling @around 600-650 rpm so I got home and set the timming up a bit was at factory 5 degrees put at six and hooked the vacuum from pcv valve to canister.ran fine and smooth.... Turned it off, waited a few minutes and cranked it back up... It back fired through the carb with lot is smoke and wouldn't crank. So I took the line back off the canister and tried to start would start... Messed with trimming to get it to fire off... Noting... Sprayed some starter fluid and fired up but died... Now nothing just turns over and over.
Wth did I do and how do I fix it.... I know nothing about trimming and carb adjustments, but though I had read enough to test it out.
Pleas help jeep is dead!
Thanks
