I6 258 79 Cj7 Normal Temp range?

What's the normal temp range for a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l on my 79 CJ7 ? I have a new water pump, thermostat, and I just installed a fan shroud. My temp on a drive is around 210. Is this normal, any suggestions?

190-195 is normal, did you "burp" the system, and do you have a fan shroud for you factory fan?

"Burped" the system, have an aluminum fan and just got a universal fan shroud. Thought that would fix it, but stayed the same.

What temp is the thermo stat? Has it had a new one in it lately.

It's running about 200-210 driving, more on the 210 range. Normal Idle it runs about 180 or so. It's had a new thermostat and a new temp gauge.

if it idles at 180 and drives at 200 sounds like you have a 180 deg thermostat which is good. What is your timing set at? Have you checked to see if your running lean? both of those would cause it to run hotter
