I'm a regular reader of Jalopnik, and although a lot of the articles aren't the best, this one really led me down a rabbit hole.
The Old AMC Headquarters Is A Derelict Reminder Of Detroit’s Complicated History With Itself And Automakers
Reading that in got me here;
THE ABANDONED AMERICAN MOTORS CORPORATION HEADQUARTERS
I had no idea that the Nash automobile corporation merged with a refrigerator manufacturer called Kelvinator, and then bought Hudson to form the American Motors Corporation. Or that the AMC plant actually produced Sikorsky R-4 helicopters for WW2.
Anyway, just some interesting history that has a lot to do with CJ's that I thought I'd pass along.
