Intermittent wiper switch

I've run some test on the 7 blade wiper switch because I can only get the wipers to run on fast. No slow or delayed. I think this switch came out of a grand wagoneer (year ?) . There are 2 plugs, one red, one black and one black box(delay). The red plugs into the back of switch and I think the switch is BAD. I've heard that 73-79 Ford Truck wiper switch is the same but some come with 6 spades and others come with 7 spades. Has anyone done this install on their CJ? :confused. Mother
