Is monstaliner on full exterior a good idea?

Is monstaliner on full exterior a good idea?
I'll jump in although I'm a newbie!
I painted my Camaro with a cheap set of guns from TCP Global. 3 guns for $79. Primer, basecoat and a detail gun.
Here she is. Did it my 2 car garage!

I will be painting my wife's 77 and was also thinking about using a liner of some sort on the inside. Like me, she will not be getting rid of her Jeep. I was thinking more budget friendly like some roll on stuff out of a can from an auto parts store! :)
As for the underside, a lot of people have used the Upol Raptor and love it. This is of course in the car scene of things.

I have a little experience in this. I did a XJ years back in Herculiner. There are a few reasons Id never go that way again. The exterior surface was to rough and would constantly scratch you up everytime you work on it. Another reason is it hides rust very well. So well that when you do notice it your problem is 5x's worse. This is where the resale value comes in. Not knowing whats under that liner scares me , and a full on exterior job makes me think theres something to hide.

The other thing that turned me off was the U.V. problem. This was years ago on my XJ but it faded within a year. I know when I did the bed of my Scrambler a little while back it went from black to almost a dull gray pretty quick as well. Paint it if you can.
