Is this... an AMC20 Widetrack?

Hard to tell from the pics. You may need to measure it from WMS-WMS to find out for sure.
 
Non of those pics help in any way. Please post a wms-wms measurement and a pic of the diff cover. Or post what year and make of vehicle it came from.
 
:agree: with the two posts above. With it not being installed under a CJ we need a measurement backing plate from backing plate.
 
Narrow Track looks like and is build like wide track.

Narrow Track & Wide Track
The narrow track axles were used from '72 to '81. They had a width of 53 inches from wheel mating surface to wheel mating surface. In 1982 AMC changed the axles to “wide track” to make the CJ more stable. The wide track axles were 56 inches from WMS to WMS. The spring perch was always 27.5 inches apart.
