Issues with CJ

Hope someone can help me with this problem.
The brake lights and rear turn signals on my 82 CJ7 are very dim. When the headlights are on, the brake lights and turn signals do not work at all. Front turn signals are working fine.
I have a glass tub and have checked the ground wires.

The first thing that came to mind was check grounds but you stated that you've done that. I would recomend checking again. Try running a jumper wire from the neg terminal on battery back to a tail light to see if it is indeed a ground issue. I think ground because its brake and turn lights, if it were one or the other it could be a few other things to consider. I recently had the low beam on one head light go out but high beam worked fine. No biggie, just replace the bulb. Repace it and now it doesnt work at all, check and clean ground. Now it worked until I hit a pot hole....Started to get frustrated, but I took it apart again and this time I REALLY cleaned the groung and all has been well since. HTH, Will

It really sounds like a ground. Have you gone through it with a ohom meter to be sure.
Make sure you are getting 12v to the plug also.
