My most recent daily driver is a freshly restored ‘75 CJ5 (the red Renegade ). In factory trim it looks awesome but...
With the addition of all the “stuff” I “need” (50,000 lbs extra
) it really looks cluttered up.
The under seat toolbox is filled with straps & other winch accessories. The box under the back seat is filled with tools. Both are filled to capacity.
I moved the rear seat forward a few inches to hide two shovels, pick, axe and hatchet. Nothing else is fitting back there.
Fire extinguishers on each side of the roll cage that are quite visible. Running boards / steps / rock sliders on each side.
Dual ham radio antennas, dual 5 gallon gas cans, spare tire, dual hitches, front mounted winch, KC lights and the worst is a Hy-lift jack... it’s the “first responder” model. The red & bright yellow paint is obnoxious and the reflective tape isn’t helping win any beauty contests either. The only place I could find to mount it was vertical alongside the gas cans.
I wouldn’t want to be caught out in the desert without any of these things but they really degrade the look of an otherwise good looking Jeep.
I’m sure countless others have had the same problem. Any suggestions other than learn to live with it?
