Does anyone think jeep forums are hard to get any advice? I mean on the real stuff not just the little windshield wiper and blinker problems you guys post a lot about I feel it was a mistake to join this forum

Im sorry you would feel that way. Maybe post a question on the "real stuff" and get an answer?

Pete beat me to it...What "real" problem can't you get an answer to?

You just posted your ? I think you need a little patience.

I get plenty of good advice in here. So much in fact this is my go to source for advice. I just don't expect everyone across the globe to drop what they are doing and respond immediately to my questions. Then complain about it when my questions aren't answered. Them again I haven't asked any questions because I found what I needed for my turn signal on here. I hope you get the advice you seek. Just have some patience. Lots of VERY knowledgable people on here.

Are the kidding me? Lots of knowledgeable folks on this site...but they do have day jobs. Besides, "joining" didn't cost you anything did it?

Some of the responses to this so far have been rather polite so I am going to break that trend...

If this is how you feel then leave this site. Plain and simple. I don't even know how you would think that the majority of the posts on here are about frivolous issues like blinkers and wipers. There are plenty about what you apperently think are "real issues" on this site. Plenty of build threads for hardcore offroaders or just plain restorations. Tons of posts about engine/Transmission swaps and combos. Plenty of good questions and answers on lifts, tub modifications, axle gearing and so on.

This is my favorite jeep forum for CJ knowledge. First and foremost, it is one of very few sites soley dedicated to Cj's. Also answers and opinions on my projects always come pretty quickly. If you stick around you get to kinda know alot of the major contributors by name. Some of these guys and gals on here have been driving cjs longer than you and I have been breathing and they have a wealth of knowledge.

Plus I am reading your tub stretch thread and it looks to me like you got tons of good technical responses.

AND another thing. Blinker wiring and wiper knowledge are very important. First of crappy/ poor wiring can set your jeep on fire if not fixed. This would be very bad. Second wipers are kinda important for safety if you get caught in a heavy rain as it allows you to see and not crash into things. Hardly frivolous in my opinion.

Take that attitude and go join Pirate4x4.

Mistake to join this forum.... some people's kids....

If you want an instant answer, try Google.

We don't make up questions to answer, we try to answer what is asked.
Most of the cj owners here are not hard core. As has already been said there is Pirate for that.

Yes. At 19 he's from that instant gratification generation. Patience is somewhat foreign.

Pretty much. I also feel like a lot of folks of that generation are passive aggressive, and full of self-pity. Maybe the influence of other folks on this forum can change his disposition. The fact that he has a CJ is a step in the right direction. And will definitely teach him patience, or how to sell a jeep quickly.

I'm 16 and I have a lot of patience. I think its more of how you were brought up. But anyways this site gives me plenty of information on just about any question I could ever ask. A very great site:)

Honestly my cj would still be running like :dung:, if it ran at all without the great people and advice on this forum

I would say we were hard core CJ. trying to make a dodge look like a CJ is not hard core CJ. The young man did not own a CJ and did not sound like he wanted to.

And we haven't heard any more from him so maybe he went some where else. I think he should haul it to his Highschool shop class and let the fun begin with a bunch of kids his own age.

As this is my first post.........which believe me I do plan to have lots more. I haven't posted any questions as of yet to this forum due to the fact, that I'm still busy reading all the past posts. And I must say, I'm not even close to being through all of those yet.

There are some many knowledgeable peeps here, with both opinions and great source of facts to boot too.

I truly want to thank all of you that have posted and continue to post, both answering the questions. Even if its not truly the answer that someone is looking for, but hey they are answers too.

And yes, there are those that will not ever be pleased and happy with the timely responses. But to each their own.

Keep the great work happening on this awesome Forum........:chug::notworthy::notworthy:

When I first bought my CJ, I had accounts on 5 sites. Now, I only use this site, and one other. This is definitely the best one for CJ owners.
