I am a long time admirer of Jeeps and I want to find a book that that gives the history of Jeeps model year by model year.

No problem. I didn't look at pricing when I searched just to let you know. You may find them cheaper elsewhere. Those are two of the best I can think of.

I ordered the "Jeep Owner's Bible" on Amazon and I will probaly order "The Jeep Bible" when I'm done with the first one.

I think that I am looking for a CJ5 1960 - 1973 vintage. I just want it for putting around on logging trails. I live very close to the Ocala National Forest in No. Central Florida. I don't want any electronics in the ignition or electrical system that could be vulnerable to EMP.

Thanks Again,

Bill B

I met Mosus Lodul at a Jeep chow during a seminar he spoke at. the guy had more intricate knowledge than I could ever hope to have. I bought his bible in 1995 and read every damn page five times over.

two ggod books about CJs are
Jeep CJ
Standard catalog of jeep

both are year by year books with options, changes etc listed by the year

If the fit hits the Shan in the form of an Electro Magnetic Pulse generated either by a nuclear blast or intense sun spot activity i want to be one of the guys that has a vehicle that still runs. Kind of a wacko survivalist thing. Check out "One Second After." onesecondafter.com - Preparing for EMP
my plans for a nuclear blast is to stand on the roof and face it, I do not want to live in a radio wasteland dying slowly of multible cancers.

I am pretty much planning on the "dirty bomb" concept. Most of the bad guys in the world today will have to deliver the pay load by UPS rather than ICBM so I just don't see a major nuclear device being part of the equation in my life time.

I don't think I would want a vehicle that runs, and then have to find it necessary to kill someone to keep it.
