- 1976 CJ7 Jeep with a engine/tranny/wiring harness out of a 1988 s10 blazer 4.3l v6 with th700r4 automatic tranny and a cj7 Dana 300 transfer case with Novak adapter.
Complete wiring harness from the s10 blazer. Painted with HOT PINK Pearl paint with standard sized metallic halographic pink flakes. Painted by me -a newb. New rear, front and side three wire LED lights, New parts, new custom dash-by me And a lot of guidance from fellow jeepers and lots of prayers etc.... :p
Hey all!
I installed a grand wagoneer steering column in my CJ7 and recently purchased the steering wheel to match it. However, I am having issues with removing the steering horn button... sure I can just rip it off but would prefer not to break it.
I removed the three screws on the back, but it appears there is still a plastic clip holding everything together.
Perhaps someone knows how to remove the little horn button?? That way I can install the wheel on the column.
Is the back part supposed to be able to pop off?
Or do I need to first remove the horn button?
Does the horn button have two side clips? If yes, what is the best way to gently remove the button so as not to destroy the clip?
Thanks for the help. Pictures would be great! But I would appreciate detailed instructions. If it is as simple as popping the button off, I would like to know that too. Thanks!!!!
