1976 CJ7 Jeep with a engine/tranny/wiring harness out of a 1988 s10 blazer 4.3l v6 with th700r4 automatic tranny and a cj7 Dana 300 transfer case with Novak adapter.
Complete wiring harness from the s10 blazer. Painted with HOT PINK Pearl paint with standard sized metallic halographic pink flakes. Painted by me -a newb. New rear, front and side three wire LED lights, New parts, new custom dash-by me And a lot of guidance from fellow jeepers and lots of prayers etc.... :p

I really can't give you detailed instructions because I have never taken the steering wheel from a Wagoneer apart. However, I have taken steering wheels apart that look very similar to yours. All I had to do was to use a flat blade, wedge it along the seam and push or pry towards the center of the wheel. A stiff putty knife sometimes works better than a screwdriver because it distributes the load more evenly. Sometimes you have to do all tabs (usually 4 to 6 of them) at the same time or else as you release one, another pops back in. Not always, but if you find yourself wondering why the one you just thought you released, won't release, this may be why. The screws you removed may or may not be part of what is holding the button in place, they may only be holding the metal parts of the horn mechanism. Look for some tabs on the button and try gently prying on them.
