Just for Fun... Scary / Hairy JEEPING Pics
I was checking some pics from this crazy guys 4wd website. I hope he knows I have to actually drive my Cj back home from Natural Bridge. :D
Pete. you come'n to have fun or just ride the bunny trails.:D

~~A fellow club member with an M38, forgot to latch his hood and it flew completly off.

Quick story and I will leave this alone and stop hijacking.

My brother and I were fishing on a bridge and a guy drove by. 50ish Chevy truck, really nice paint and running well. He came back by the bridge 20mins later and his hood flew up, shattered his windshield, folded over and crushed the top of the cab before flying off and almost hitting my brother!!

Dude driving was in his late 50's and got out of the truck when he got it shut down and came running to check on us. We were fine, but he was actually crying over the damage to his truck. I didn't understand why at the time, but after spending some quality time with my CJ; I completely understand now! Said it was the maiden voyage and he checked the oil at the gas station and was thinking it didn't latch right. The entire latch was still attached to the hood, a bolt wasn't tightened correctly. Poor fella...

That is terrible Jr, hope you get it straightened out. :chug:

JR, I did some hood work like that once. I removed the hood, laid it on the garage floor and stepped on it, it popped back into place. I reinstalled the hood and primered where the paint peeled. A fellow club member with an M38, forgot to latch his hood and it flew completly off.

I'm glad it didn't fly off for sure!!!

:chug:
