Speakers all quit working, power is good to the system, has display, preset stations still work, clock works.

Mute is not on, but all four speakers are silent. Tired hooking up a different speaker, still nothing.

Replacement time or am I missing something.

another example of planed obsolescence.:D

take it apart, what you have to loose?

as a rule mine have always eaten my favorite CD before they died.

It is likely that the amplifier section took a dive.

If there are pre-outs, use those instead of direct speaker hookups. If a separate amp works (via the pre-outs) then the stereo's amp section is shot. Either use it with a separate amp, or use it for target practice.
