Some of you know my dog, Koda. Today he got hit by a car. He looked dead with his eyes open. The man that hit him helped me bring him to the animal hospital. By the time we got there Koda was moving. The doctor says he's very critical. I'll keep you posted.

Oh man, sorry to hear this bad news. Hope he pulls through

He's got a ruptured lung and internal bleeding. They cut an incision to release air from his chest due to the ruptured lung. It doesn't look good. They are keeping him in a plastic chamber with extra oxygen. When I came into the room he lifted his head and was glad to see me. They opened the chamber for me to pet him and he laid his head back down. He then just stared ahead and became unresponsive again.

So sorry to hear this Dave. I hope things turn around. Im at a loss for words on this. :(

Hang in there Koda!

Our prayers are with him Dave. Hope he does well. He was a real joy to have on our outing.

Dave, so sorry to here about Koda. I hope he gets better quickly.

I can not even begin to describe how I feel about this. To you I say do not let the dog be in pain.

The vet showed me x-rays from now and earlier. He as more fluid, blood and air in his abdomen than before. The internal injuries are too much. He's not going to make it so I decided to put him down. The doctor gave him an overdose of pain killers. Koda is no more.

..:(

My sincerest condolences Dave. Koda was a good friend and companion. He will be missed.

I raise a glass for a toast to Koda!

My heart goes out to both you and Koda. I know how difficult it is to loose such a great friend and companion. He touched our lives, and in the short week we spent with him, he truly endeared himself to us. I will always remember him trying to catch the ever elusive chipmunk darting in and out of the rocks along the trails. We will always remember him fondly.

Oh man that really sux I love my dogs to no end and I know Koda was very special to you :( I send my deepest condolences

Sorry to hear that Dave. Those buddies are a part of the family. It's a tough decision to make, I have had to do it several times myself.
