Hey y'all, What's the easiest way to remove leaves that are coming out of the heater vent? Do i have to remove the whole heater? I've added a screen to prevent leaves from entering so should haven't this problem in the future.

thanks

If you remove the fresh air vent-pass (7 or 8 Phillips head screws) you can get in there with a shop vac to remove leaves. It's kind of a tight spot, you'll need a really long screwdriver to reach, but I've done it a couple of times when I've had a leaf of leaves stuck in the hamster wheel of the fan.

Had the same problem. Here's my solution....
Went to local hardware store and purchased an electrical 3/4" snap in electrical plug. Drilled the proper size hole in the front next to the air intake. Whenever I have debris in the heater box I remove the plug and use my shop vacuum. Sometimes I turn the fan on low to get whatever's on the bottom.

Put a 1/4" screen over the intake vent to keep leafs and such out.

Thanks...i started to try this route. The screws on the right side are in a tight spot. Will try again, thanks

Yeah, especially the ones on the right really are a pain to get to, it may be easiest to take the passenger seat out :chug:
