I made a mistake

the waggy axles will not work with the 241, look for a set of modern D44ss and you will have the correct offsets for the 241. we can weld spring pads to them.

thought I would clear that up, plus we will add 3 inches to the track

I think the NP 241 OR will be the ticket, it is a tough modern unit, has 4 to 1 gears and a short shaft output.
forn 9 inch
D44s
both are great units, I think the 9 inch may be easier and cheaper to find.
Ford 8.8 is a cheap alternative, I do not recommend it for 37s. You have time. wheel what you have this summer and gather parts, save a few more coins. Then next winter when you are down for the weather do the conversion.
You will learn a few valuable things wheeling that QuadraTrac , not to use the skinny a lot, how to pick lines as you will need to take the easiest line, so your ability once you convert will be that much better. Remember equipment is only a replacement to knowledge in those who have no knowledge. Put the upgraded equipment in the hands of someone who has the knowledge and he can do twice as much with it.

Thanks for the phone call. I was looking for rubicon axles. The cheapest I have found for front and rear is $3600. I cannot find a 4:1 kit for the np241.

how about a NP 231, it has 4 to 1 kits available as well as short shaft kits

What's wrong with a NP205?
Also it should mate right up to the GM Turbo 400 , I'm ahving an off day so
ignore any mis-thoughts.

NP205 info:
High Impact - NP205 Tcase Data Sheet

What about a Klune-V / Dana 20 combo.

With this system, you can have four different Tcase ranges to shift between:
1 to 1 high range, 2.46 to one low range (box in low, Klune in Hi),
4:1 low range (box in Hi, Klune in Low)
Almost 10 to one low range (Both boxes in low)

'69 to '73 chevy blazers had the chevy Dana 20

I am pretty sure you still need an adapter for the 205 and the 205 does not allow for a 4:1 ratio.

The GM Turbo 400 and np205 was a factory install on some blazers, I had one in a '80 blazer.

Check this out:

A lomax kit will get you a 3:1

Klune is a 1900 dollar option and uses up shaft space
a NP205 requires a adapter unless you find a 79 to 86 pattern, not an easy find, oh yea it is gear driven for what ever that is worth. I actually prefer chain driven cases.

nice setup

I cannot find a 4:1 kit for the np241.

Just to clarify this, you cannot find a 4:1 kit for the 241 because it comes from the factory as a 4:1, with the short shaft already. This is the set up most people try to get their 231 to. The 231 is a stout case and will work well with your set up. You picked up a good find on the axles, too.

Sorry I was referring to a np241 (out of a chevy) not np241 or

you are wrong
the NP 241 OR, which is a Rubicon only Case comes with a 4 to 1 and short shaft
the NP 241 found in chevy trucks, does not come with a 4 to1 nor a short shaft and that is what he was referring to.

I thought he was referring to the Rubicon case, did not know about the Chevy case. good Info.

no reason to be sorry, I bet since 2003 ther has been a thousand arguements about such
We all cannot know about every Transfer Case out there and I bet there are 100 or more we have never even heard of. We deal with a narrow line here commonly, those in Jeeps, So when we do find a new one, it is google time.
