Hello, I would say if you are looking at buying an older Jeep you want to look for the normal rust spots, floors and rear panels are comon areas for rust on most older jeep. It really depends on what you can do yourself.

I would make sure it drives good down the road. If it is all over the road then it can have alot of problems that will be costly to fix. And I would stay away from one that looks like the po beat on hard because it could be a money pit.

My 'Money Pit' 'Betty' but at least with the fabbed parts she's all mine and that makes me happy.

Are you set on a CJ? Even though I love CJs, they never struck me as an ideal hunting truck. Cold, crappy storage, fog up, bad road trippers, can't lock them - okay, hard to lock them... Have you considered an XJ (Cherokee) with a 4.0? About as simple and reliable a truck as you'll find, TONS of aftermarket parts, very capable, etc. etc.

If you're set on a CJ...
- No rust
- 6cyl at least, newer F.I. V8 ideally (lots of CJs out there have had the V8 swap)
- '83 or newer (wider axles)
- No rust
- Hard top (better for hunting vehicle)
- No rust

just in case no one mentioned it.....check for rust:D:D:D

if you have a hole on the land that got the loader stuck then you need a vehicle makes it own path......looking at the pic.....maybe a horse? :D:D

your choice but tires, rear end,Transmission , motor and lift are what the "mudders" around here look for
I have seen a very Modified Isuzu brat that hit a hole better than an old 4x4 C10 circa 1988

manhattan.....man were you driving your beast downtown today?
I saw 3 today near 10th: 1 on 10th and peachtree (nice), 1 parked on ponce (ok), and 1 on 75 at GA tech yellow and super sweet

There are different auto brands to choose from like Japanese car Isuzu. Meanwhile, here is a news about Isuzu vehicle. Some Isuzu SUVs are being recalled in certain colder areas of the U.S. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced the recall last July 9, citing corroding components as the concern that if these components disappear, it could contribute to an accident. If you want Ford, you can go to used car dealers. Find out more about Courtesy Ford.http://www.cardealexpert.com/city/CT/Brooklyn
