:) hey NEUNER, you've been around here about as long as I have. It was Busa who prompted me to do the louver install. In reality he gets credit for the idea.
 
I think what is needed is some type of manual louver that can be opened and closed. Kinda like a choke on a carburetor
 
you guys having any problems with rain water on the engine? Looks good :chug:
That was a concern when I installed my louvers. I installed them just outboard of my spark plugs. Any water that would get into my engine compartment would only hit my exhaust manifold. Even if I was not so careful of their placement I don't think I would have much of an issue with water. As others have said I get more water splashing up from my tires than coming into my vents.
 
As louvers face backwards I don't see much if any water getting in when driving in the rain.
 
Yet it's not a ram air type arrangement. The louvers suck air out at speed, and allow it to naturally raise when moving at trail speed.
