I guess that the the build Izz and I are doing is a magnet for his friends. I know have two teenage boys helping on the build. One of them has no clue what is going on but he wants to learn, the other one has ability and has been taking shop classes in high school.

Almost every time I am working on something I have all three of the boys helping out. Looks like I am going to have some more projects as they get there vehicles, I don't mind I think that they all should know what they are doing.

That's great! I'm the exact opposite as I can never find anyone when I need help! :(

It's looking good!

BTW - You should tell that crane operator he forgot his hard hat!

What about a safety vest and long pants? Nothing about that.:notworthy: You use all the PPD stuff right when you work on the CJ.

I too am not a great PPD user... About the ONLY thing I ALWAYS use is safety glasses, and ear plugs (if needed) and a mask if I'm doing allot of welding! :) I'm not a fan of leather pants or arm covers when it's 100 degrees out! :)

I'll turn myself in to our safety director tomorrow!

Let me know how that goes! Maybe you will only get a verbal warning!:D

yup same here "opposite" seems like the only thing around when working on my Jeeps are the tumbleweeds rolling by.

You know what though, that's awesome that you're helping Izzak, and he has friends that want to help him. My first car was a 1980 Oldmobile Delta 88 coupe (freaking land yacht), I paid $200 for it, and the top half of the engine needed rebuilt. My Dad gave me general directions but left the bulk of the work up to me an my friends. That's what got me hooked on tinkering with cars, and helped build some great frienships with the guys that helped me. Friendships that I still have today.

So, when the kid that has no idea what he's doing, or any of them for that matter, start to get on your nerves, remember that you're doing more than just building a Jeep

How true that is, never got help from my dad. I was the one working on his stuff and getting him back on the road. Learned a lot by messing up and fixing it.

I don't mind working with these kids I know were they are and they cant get in too much trouble this way. In the end they will have something to show for there work. That and they will have some IDEA how to fix it themselves and know what is going on if they have to take it to a shop.

They have things that they want to do so I can help them get it done the right way and safely. They can have fun and see what they can do.:notworthy:
That and I get a little help too.:D
