Hey guys bout got my jeep squared away again, but now I'm having a different issue that I'm hoping y'all can help with. I rebuilt the carb here a while back and I've noticed that I can set the idle at 650-700 take it for a spin and all the sudden it idled at 1000rpms. I can adjust the screw and bring it back down to
650-700 take it for a spin and same thing it idles at 1000.
Three times I've had this happen to me. Just wondering if anyone else had had this issue? I've searched the web a a little bit but haven't found anything

Vacuum leak at the rear base of the carb I bet. Common issue....
While run'n-Spray that area with VERY soapy water. Does the engine pitch change? Do you see the bubbles get'n sucked inside?
Also, Check ALL of your manifold bolts.

Either that or the throttle isn't returning all the way. Sticky throttle cable or gummy levers.

But my money is on the vacuum leak.

Thanks guys looks like it'll probably be raining most of the day today so it might be tomorrow before I can check it out. Soon as I check those things I'll report back. Again thank you all for the help
