AMC 1980 CJ5 ,almost stock,factory steel cab
Can anybody please direct me to an address that I can order a Meyer Steel Cab rear side window glass for a 1980 CJ5 ? Some one has hit it and broke the glass.
What I can read on the other stock and original glasses is;

Guardiaz
safety float
solid tempered
AS-2-80-GG-M50
DOT-22
Thanks.

If I remember correctly, the glass on our Meyer cab is all flat glass. You should be able to take it to any auto glass place and have one made. I have a 47 IHC KB2 that needs all the glass replaced, and the local glass shops have said they can either make one from a paper template the you provide them, or you can probably just drive yours to them and they will measure it for you.

Yes,mriplaybass.You are right that the glass is flat on the cab.I already got a glass shop cut one.The jeep is almost stock and quite original.All the glasses have original manufacturer stamps on the corners.What I aim is to keep her stock and original.Now this single glass is a grinding wheel among the others to blurr the stock / original condition.That is why I am after the original glass.It will never be stock , but at least might be original.
So far as I understand the company was out of business long ago.I am afraid the only chance for me is to find one from a used cab with an owner who will be eager to trade it.
BTW: I am posting from Turkey.

Thank you again.

Wow! Turkey! don't know if you will have much luck finding an OEM one over there! At least you can get an after market one if all else fails. Good luck!

That is why I am querrying beyond the Atlantic.I have been buying parts from the US for both of my jeeps-a 1962 CJ5 and this 1980 AMC CJ5 .
If I can find one,new or used it will not be hard to get it.
Thanks.

I bought some shims for my Dana 300 on ebay and the seller was from istanbul Turkey. When the parts arrived the were original Spicer parts made in the USA. Only place I could find them. True story.

You can have glass made with the original logo. About 7-8 years ago, and several years before that I sold a few Willy trucks, wagons, and running gear to Jim, owner of Commonwealth Automotive He had a company that would stamp the glass for him. You can give him a try. I can PM you his email if needed.

I know well the seller in Istanbul.I often buy purts from him,too. The company name is Ulus Otomotiv. Volkan CAKIR is the son. The boss is his father . Ali Rıza CAKIR. They have a shop on eBay with the name NOS For Jeeps.I have the telephone numbers of them.I call Ali Rıza and he ships my part(s) without even waiting for me to complete the transaction.
I would appreciate if you would please send me the email of Jim from Commonwealth Automotive.I may give a try.You can PM me,or here is my mail;
