I know I would have to do some modifications to the windshield if I want to put a newer windshield frame on an older jeep. What exactly would I have to do. I have a 73 CJ5 and I got a windshield frame and windshield off a 76 or newer cj. I know the wiper motor is on the inside of the newer one and also that the angle is different. The ? is can I modify the windshield to work on my 73 and if so what do I have to do exactly to make it work. I'm wanting to tag and drive this thing within the month and windshield being cracked it holding me back.

I think I would start by measuring it.

the only problem you have is a cracked glass?

your going to save a lot of time and aggravation by buying a new glass rather than doing a chop job on something that does not fit.

:agree: A CJ windshield is pretty cheap.
