Just wanting anyones bad or good experiences with them. I would of liked to of learned more about it before I got it. But I came home today and the wife told me she had found me one used but in good condition for 50 bucks for everything I will need, so she ordered it. So we will see should be here weds or so. ? does it hook the same as the stock would or what am I going to have to do differently. I do not currently have one in my 73 CJ5 at all. I knew the wife wanting some kind of heat, I didn't know exactly how bad.

I did win in the budget battle because she didn't take it out of my jeep fund.

the mojave heater will be a universal fit so you will have to improvise on the installation.i do have one in my '69 cj and it works very well.mike

:)Like Mike stated above..........you get just the basic's. A Box ,a fan and a switch.....Not bad if plain and simple heat is all your looking for.

In order to get directional heating or the ability to have defroster's and blending of air and regulate temperature you have to build a few things and be creative.

:D:D:D:D

I mainly want the heater for defroster and to put out just reg heat.

this weekend I will have an entire airbox and vent setup from an 85 available. I am pulling an extra one from an 84 partout complete with airbox vents and fresh air intake.

I bought a universal Summit heater assembly and built a defroster diverter from the stock heater assembly fed from the heater by a 3" flexible tube. Defroster diverter bolts in the stock location and hooks to the stock oval defroster tube. Works well.
