But the wheels on the wrong side?.

I have never driven a right hand vehicle before. I think I have hit everything in the parking lot at least twice:eek:

Nice Rig man! :notworthy:

I'll be

I've always wondered... When driving a steering on the right vehicle, are the pedals also reversed? Or is gas still on right, brake mid, and clutch left?

That could get confusing fast if different eh?

cool rig. I have a feeling I'd have trouble driving from the wrong side too.

And shifting with my left hand would be weird too 9.webp

It is also very hard to drive on the wrong side of the road, I have driven in Scottland and England years ago and it feels 100% wrong even though you know(think?) it's there form of right.
Following someone else is reasuring but when you are tooling along alone it's harder.

So what about the pedals???

I think the worse thing about driving a left hand drive car is passing. You don't know if anyone is coming until you are on the wrong side of the road.

Had the experience of driving on the wrong side during a 3 year tour of duty in England many years ago, driving a "huge" '61 Falcon. One big advantage was the ability to see the side of the roadway when the fog was too thick to see past the hood.
My downstairs neighbor at the time ran a local garage, and 'commuted' with whatever vehicle was convenient in his shop. Because there was a 'No Parking' on the street at night, and he usually came home a lot later than I, he would park behind me in our very narrow, shared, driveway. He would leave the keys in the vehicle so I could move it out of the way each morning. Pedals were in the same positions, but, yeah the left hand shifting took some practice.

I suggest an automatic if you insist on a RH car. Shifting with your left hand is just wrong!

Can it be converted to left side driver without too much pain? If you were to want to?

Yes it can be converted with all the existing parts. Right hand drive on this truck means it was not built as an export model. PO had to purchase it in the UK and have it exported. This truck was built in Solihull England then purchased by a game reserve in KwaZula South Africa. From their it made its way to Canada then Knoxville then to Chattanooga. I would like to belive it is home now.

Nice Land Rover.

I believe in my own little way that the steering wheel is on the right side in that one and easy to drive :D

here is a link to one of the best land rover series 2 clubs in the u.k The Series 2 Club Ltd.
nice guys and next to our unit at work some of the chaps have a workshop just for Series 2's and if there is anything they don't know it isn't worth knowing about.
Have fun with her.

Thanks for the link, cool website.
