i have a jeep(4 cylinder with T-90 Transmission and bell housing) its in pieces all the bolts i have po put in a bucket and the are all rusted so i want to install new bolts but i dont know what bolts go where my mian concern right now is motor to bell housing bolts as the motor doesn't seem to have threads are the bolts and nuts or i am just not seeing threads could threads be stripped out

logic would dictate that if the hole does not go through, it must be threaded. I would clean the holes out and look through the can of bolts until you find one that will fit , without forcing it. The 4 cylinder may be metric. I have never worked on one so I can not swear to it.
My rule of thumb on replacing bolts is to use the longest bolt that will tighten with out bottoming out.
The holes in the bell housing may very well be stripped. People have been known to cross thread these bolts when they are straining to hold the Transmission up while putting in the bolts. The aluminum, of course, strips out. If this is the case, Helicoils are the best solution. When you redrill the bell for the right size hole to tap I suggest a drill press, you will want these as straight as possible.

you may have misunderstood my question my problem is with hole in the engine where bell housing bolts to it (the holes go all the way through as if it were meant for bolt and nut but i could be mistaken)

If you are referring to 9 and 3 o'clock position, I would say no. I am not postive but it sounds like the same as it looks on the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . You can run a longer bolt through and put a nut on the backside but it would not be flush. So no, I think:laugh:

if that is the case, is the bell housing threaded? or do those go all the way through also?

Not the same as the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l .
Yes the bolts go through and need a nut, I don't recall how many if not all are this way but it's gona be obvious if there are no threads.
capeesh?

That's what I thought I am just going to go buy some grade 5 bolts to hold everything together

Sounds good.

You should update/correct your profile, it say's v-6 but we are talking about the 4-134 Huricane right? people will be confused and or give the wrong advice.:D

The v6 is correct for my jeep I am working on my dads jeep at the moment maybe I should include this info in op
