I got the MSD Ignition box and MSD Distributor a few weeks back. I wanted it for a spare for on the trail, something I could swap out easily with one I already had. Because I have another MSD 6A unit and other CJ stuff in the long term storage.

Also, what in particular makes the unit off-road…

Yes. It was a 6 Off Road. I was wanting a 6 Digital AL. Not really sure. I do know that the wiring hook up was different

The main difference is it is mounted on some insulators and the internals get some added vibration protection.

Feet, yes. Internals, no. But I say it's more of a gimmick than really useful (internals). It's has more epoxy encasement.

Thank you, CJ. I can’t believe how many of us fall to these gimmicks. I fell for it thinking the regular unit would help. I don’t intend to start a debate.
