I am so very sorry for your loss. It actually has taken me several attempts at replying here. The first time I saw the title, already forming thoughts to post up my condolences, and then I saw the picture you had posted and immediately began welling up with tears. My dog is hands down my best friend in the world, and I couldn't even imagine... I'm so very sorry.

Daily driver is a 06 Durango SLT Hemi.
I used to have a 51 Willys pickup and a 72 Commando.

Well a couple weeks ago Vicki texts me at work saying theres a cat outside she thinks is the nieghbors. Its snowing and cold out and when I get home a couple hours later its still on our porch. Figuring its the nieghbors we leave a note on their door and let it in.
Im not really a cat person and we already have two of them. This one still has some kitten in it and is fun to play with so me and the kids mess with it the rest of the nite. Somehow this cat has decided its going to attach itself to me.
The next day the nieghbor comes over and lets us know while it looks like hers its not. We put up signs around town but it looks like we've gained another cat. I posted him in this thread cause hes filling a spot for me that my dog left behind. This cat gets up and greets me whenever I get up or come home. He also loves to sleep with me.
I'll get another dog someday but its nice to have this little guy "Bandit" to help me through this rough spot.

Hey Pete, we've shared some PM's about different jeep topics. I also keep an eye on my lab who is showing her age. I've had her about 10 years. Still young in Lab years but she's showing signs of hip problems. 
I had to put my first lab down for the same reason. I still think of her today.
I like to think this cat is the spirit of your pup just looking out for you. Just like they say about babies when you lose a love one. The spirit of a love one fills a young baby and you always see them in the baby. I would think the same is with a pet.
